Huntley
Sylvie Huntley was born in France where her parents were stationed in an RCAF base. Upon their return to Canada, they settled In Quebec. At age 10 Sylvie’s family moved to Ontario.
In 2004 after a successful career in IT Training and Consulting, Sylvie retired and moved to her permanent residence in Midland Ontario.
The shores of Georgian Bay, with the vast open spaces, water and nature have become the perfect inspiration for Sylvie’s art.
A few years ago, Sylvie discovered Alcohol Ink. After gaining instruction through various self teaching methods, Sylvie has honed her skill to a very high level. She combines Alcohol Ink, Ceramic tiles or Aluminum panels and an Epoxy Resin to create one of a kind art.

In 2019 Sylvie was a finalist in the Clerkson Emerging Artist competition, Collingwood Ontario, and in 2020 Sylvie received The Hilda Nobel Honourable Mention ranking at the 40th Juried Show at the BMFA.
